What we do
-
1. Initial Consultation
We will arrange an initial free of charge site visit where we can discuss your ideas and go through design options. We will also run through what is feasible to the local authority planning policies. After the site visit, we will provide you with a quotation
-
2. Measured Survey
Upon acceptance of our quote, we will carry out a measured survey and take photographs of the site which will enable us to carry out the architectural plans
-
3. The First Draft
After the measured survey has been carried out, we will prepare the first draft of the architectural drawings.
-
4. Submission to Local Authority
Once you are happy with the plan, we will submit it to the local authority for planning approval. Depending on the type of application that is submitted, this process can take from 42 days to 8 weeks
-
5. Building Regulation Details
After we have received planning consent and/or the lawful development certificate from the local authority, we will prepare the building regulation details. This will be a detailed technical drawing showing the specification for the build which is compliant with the latest building regulations
-
6. Structural Calculations
After the building regulation details have been completed, we will obtain structural calculations from a qualified structural engineer. We have a network of structural engineers we can obtain a quotation from. Once prepared, they can be given to your chosen contractor
-
7. Building Regulations Application
Once you have a start date for the build, we will submit the building regulations application. Your chosen contractor will liase will the designated building inspector throughout the different stages of the build
